The pitch count that follows the child, not the roster

This is the part nothing else does, and it is now the largest thing in the app. Everything below it is table stakes, done properly. This is the reason the app exists.

Which clock runs is your rulebook's call. Little League pitch counts with calendar rest days, the way most baseball divisions do it, or a straight innings cap, the way most softball divisions do. Turn on the wrong one and the app tells you so on the tab where you went looking for it.

• One ledger per player, across every team you carry. Rec and travel on the same phone means one count and one rest clock.
• Rest days run on the calendar, not on games. Sixty-six pitches Monday costs you Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and the app knows that before you hand him the ball.
• A live counter that warns you early. "Three more and he owes three days. Pull him now and he owes two." Type the count straight in, or use plus and minus one mid inning.
• Catcher lockouts, both directions. Four innings behind the plate ends his day as a pitcher. Forty-one pitches ends his day as a catcher.
• A rotation plan across your next three games. Add the games, set how many innings one arm may throw and how many arms you are willing to use, and it staffs all three under the rest table. Estimated pitch counts come from each arm's own pitches per inning where the sample supports it.
• Your calls override it. Rule a kid out for a game, or force a starter, and it plans the rest around you.
• It tells you when the limits don't fit. Three innings per arm over a six inning game needs at least two pitchers, and it will not offer you a plan that cannot exist.
• Who to start, on the number that predicts a short inning: first-pitch strike rate, pulled toward the staff average until the sample earns its own number.
• A workload board of the last ten outings. Who threw what, what it cost, who is clear.
• A limit is a bracket, never a birthday. 50, 75 or 85, set once at roster time. No ages and no dates of birth exist anywhere in the app.
• If your division counts innings instead, the arm board says so plainly rather than rendering an empty card, and the limit gets enforced inside the rotation where it belongs. Mound or circle, the rest of the tab works the same.

A batting order you can defend to a parent

Not a sort by batting average with slot roles bolted on. An actual model of how many runs an order scores, run over the whole game.

• Run expectancy over every game state: inning, outs, who's on, who's due up. The order itself is the thing being optimised.
• Your run cap is in the math. A five-run cap makes stacking your best bats at the top actively wrong, because the overflow is wasted.
• Reached-on-error counts. At this age it is a large share of times on base, and it doesn't show up in batting average, so throwing it away undervalues every contact hitter you have.
• Nine at-bats is not a hitter. Small samples get pulled toward the league rate, so the order stops flip-flopping after every game.
• It shows its work. Each slot says what it is worth: dropping this spot one place costs .043 runs. Most of the time the honest answer is four thousandths of a run, and it says that too.
• Fairness is enforced, not hoped for. Nobody sinks more than four slots below where their bat puts them.
• Drag anyone. The projection recalculates before you let go.

Defense that rotates fairly without you keeping the books

Every position is solved at once, every inning. Filling spots one at a time spends your only catcher at shortstop, and that is what filling spots one at a time will always do.

• Playing time is counted as it is assigned: innings played, infield innings, innings sat. The ledger recounts after every hand edit, not only when the app builds.
• League minimums are rules, not preferences. Four innings each, two in the infield, nobody sits twice in a row. Switch on whichever your division actually requires.
• Bench innings spread themselves, so the same two kids don't sit every inning by default.
• Nine fielders or ten. The short fielder is supported the whole way through, and switching a team from softball to baseball takes left center out of the position set and moves the default count to nine on its own.
• Keep positions steady, or chase the best glove every inning. One toggle.
• One inning at a time, one decision at a time. Tap a spot, pick a name. Whoever was there takes the other spot or the bench, and a move never crosses an inning, so nobody ends up fielding twice in the same one.
• Lock a spot, lock a whole inning, or clear every lock. Rebuilds work around what you locked, and undo goes back twenty-five steps.
• It tells you when your rules are impossible. Fourteen players cannot all get four innings in a nine-fielder game, fifty-four slots against fifty-six owed, and you should hear that from the app rather than from a parent.
• Out of position and over the innings cap are flagged before the umpire finds them.

Twenty minutes before first pitch

• Mark who's here, who's out, and who is arriving in the third or the fifth. One tap each, down the roster.
• Rebuild both sets the order and the defense from who actually showed up, or put everyone back in with one button when the late car finally arrives.
• It reads your rulebook back to you: eleven available, three on the bench each inning rotated evenly, and the minimums your division requires the rotation to satisfy.
• Late arrivals drop to the bottom of the order automatically where your rulebook says they must.
• Print the card, the one in the gallery above. Or save it as a PDF and text it to your assistant.
• Positions spelled out on the card, because the person reading it is often a parent keeping the book.

Import once a game, and everything downstream is right

• GameChanger CSV import. Batting, pitching and fielding are read from their own sections, so a pitcher's strikeouts never land in a batter's row.
• Season table: average, on-base, slugging, extra-base hits, steals, runs and RBI.
• A player value board on the roster tab: one number per player on a 0 to 100 scale, built on the shrunk model rather than raw rates, with the rank and how much of it is real sample. Before any stats exist it runs on draft rank, and says so.
• Pitching lines that mean something: innings, pitch count, pitches per inning, strike rate, first-pitch strike rate, ERA, and thin samples marked as thin.
• It catches a skipped import. The export is season totals, so missing one game silently doubles an outing. The app says so instead of doing rest-day math on a bad number.
• A game log you can prune. Drop a bad import and every number that depends on it recomputes.

Every kid leaves with something, and nobody leaves with four

The last night of the season is the one every coach improvises at 11pm. It is a solved problem.

• Twenty-two awards across hitting, defense, pitching, heart, growth and team. The optional ones ship switched off, so the list stretches to the roster in front of it instead of always being eighteen long.
• Stat awards nominate themselves and show the number that earned it. Judgment awards, hustle, captain, sportsmanship, stay yours, because they should.
• If the data can't nominate honestly, it says so rather than handing the glove award to whoever caught four balls.
• Coverage is checked out loud. It tells you who still has nothing and who is up to three.
• Presentation order is worked out for you: MVP last, and never the same kid called up twice in a row.
• It writes the paragraph, with the player's real numbers in it, in your team's pronouns. She, he or they is a per-team setting that fills every sentence, so one generator serves the softball roster and the baseball roster instead of two half-written ones. Reword cycles three genuinely different phrasings, and you can add a line only you saw.
• Print the sheet and read from it.

Your rulebook, not a generic one

Rules are data here, so the optimiser obeys your division instead of approximating it. Ten profiles ship, seven softball and three baseball. Six of the ten are transcribed from real 2026 league rulebooks rather than guessed at, and every field in any of them is editable. Picking the sport filters the list.

Built for how a coach actually works

A first name and a last initial

No surname, no age, no birthday, no photo, no address, no phone number. A pitch limit is stored as a number, 50, 75 or 85, because that is what the rule operates on. No ads, no trackers, no analytics, and nothing is ever sold. There is a one-page notice you can hand to parents that says all of this in their words.

Three steps, about ten minutes

1. Add your roster. First name and last name, stored as first name and last initial, a rough draft rank, and the positions each kid can actually play.
2. Pick your rulebook. Start from a profile and change whatever is wrong. The run cap matters most.
3. Import your GameChanger export after each game. From there the order, the rotation, the arm board and the awards all run themselves.
